Prior to founding FHR Capital, Mark was a Managing Director of Colony Capital, Inc. and a cofounder of Colony Realty Partners, LLC. Before Colony, he was a Partner and worked on the day to day operations of the firm at TA Associates Realty, where he served on the firm’s Executive Committee and Investment Committee. 

 

Prior to joining TA Associates Realty, he served as a consultant to several real estate companies, including as President of Bay State Realty Advisors. Previously, he was with intercontinental Real Estate Corp. and Coldwell Banker.

 

Prior to its sale, Mr. Harmeling served as a longtime director of Universal American (NYSE: UAM). Mr. Harmeling also served on the Investment Committee of Swarthmore College.

 

Mark received a B.A. from Swarthmore College.
